That IS the question — a question that is asked on a regular basis by vacationers hitting Myrtle Beach. \u00a0Many ask if they can bring their own grills and,\u00a0can you grill on the beach in Myrtle Beach? \u00a0Unfortunately, the answer is NO.<\/strong>\u00a0 (And NO, you can’t grill on the balcony of a condo either. MAJOR fire hazard there.)<\/p>\n

“It is illegal to build a fire or use a propane-fired grill or other cooker on the beach.” Beach and Boating Regulations, Local laws and ordinances, Sec. 5-16. http:\/\/www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com\/beachlaws.html<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, there are SOME, not very many, but some resorts that have barbecue grills on the\u00a0premises, but they are few and far between. Please check with the resort to see.<\/p>\n

There ARE a couple places that have public access to BBQ\u00a0 grills or grilling areas\u00a0<\/strong> in the North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach area.<\/p>\n

\"McCleanMcLean Park<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\nLocated in the heart of the city, this 10 acre, two acre lake\u00a0Park is \u00a0considered to be the most beautiful\u00a0in the community. It has walking paths, two playgrounds, meditation area, covered picnic areas, and usually even the local ducks that hang out in the pond.<\/p>\n

Myrtle Beach State Park<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

4401 S. Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575.
\nAdmission is required to enter the park : $5 adults; $3.25 SC seniors (age 65 & older); $3\/ child age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger.\u00a0\u00a0 Hours of operation are:\u00a0\u00a0 Daily 6am-10pm, March-Nov.;\u00a0 Daily 6am-8pm, Dec.-Feb.\u00a0 The Park is located on one mile of beach and includes a fishing pier, miles of hiking trails, as well as picnic facilities.\u00a0 For additional information on where grills or grilling areas can be found, contact the Park at (843) 238-5325.<\/p>\n
