It’s quickly becoming a thing of the past that Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is only getting recognition as a popular beach vacation destination. 2012 was a\u00a0pivotal year\u00a0 for the Grand Strand, becoming a trending hotspot for sports tourism<\/em> and home to popular running events such as the Divas Half Marathon\u00a0–\u00a0which had a record-breaking turnout.<\/p>\n

So, for all of you adrenaline junkies out there, we’ve compiled a mind-blowing list of upcoming marathons, half marathons, 5ks, minis<\/strong> and everything between that will be taking place in Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas of the Grand Strand in 2013.<\/p>\n
